Clicking during a start attempt does not identify one failed part. A weak battery, resistance at a cable connection or a starter fault can all prevent cranking. First distinguish an engine that does not turn from one that turns normally but fails to fire: those require different diagnostic paths.
Battery Warning Light While Driving: What It Means
On a conventional combustion car, a battery-shaped warning that remains lit with the engine running usually calls for charging-system diagnosis. It is not a simple battery replacement instruction. The belt drive, alternator, connections, control system or battery may be involved. Follow the vehicle’s own warning message and stopping instructions.
