Check your version. Transporter T5, 2003–2014, using the two-part centre-console carrier. The interactive diagram is the upper section only. The lower section and under-seat carriers restart their numbering and have different assignments. This is not a T6 fuse layout.
Fuse box locations
The main cabin fuse assembly is in the centre console beside the gear lever, behind a cover. It has an upper and a lower section. Additional fuses can be under the driver seat, and some conversions have another passenger-seat assembly. The engine-bay box is beside the battery.

Common Transporter fuse checks
In the illustrated upper carrier, position 12 is listed for the cigarette lighter at 15 A on one version; other versions use this position for light-switch supply. Camper and auxiliary sockets can be protected under the seat, including an SF11 lighter circuit on the corresponding carrier. Identify the exact carrier before comparing a fuse number.
Upper position 33 supplies radio/navigation equipment at 15 A; position 32 is a 25 A or 30 A wiper/body-module supply. Do not confuse either number with the same number in the lower section.

How do I choose the right fuse rating?
Match the exact vehicle, fuse carrier and circuit before replacing a fuse. Where several ratings are shown, use the vehicle-specific allocation and the correct fuse type. A higher rating can leave the wiring unprotected; it is not a fix for a fuse that keeps blowing.
How should I check or replace a fuse?
- Park safely and switch off the ignition and the affected equipment.
- Identify the correct carrier and position. Remove the fuse with a suitable puller.
- Inspect the element or check continuity of the removed fuse. Fit the specified type and identical rating.
- Refit the cover and test the circuit. If the replacement blows again, diagnose the fault before replacing it again.
High-current links, airbag and belt-tensioner circuits require the relevant service procedure. Do not bridge fuse terminals.
The fuse is intact. Why is the equipment still not working?
Check the ignition setting and whether other devices on the same supply work. A damaged socket, connector, earth connection, switch, relay or control module can interrupt the circuit even when its fuse is intact. Use the matching wiring diagram and appropriate circuit tests before replacing parts.
