Find the fuse-box access points and selected electrical circuits for the Volvo S80. Use the interactive index and table below to identify the circuit, then compare it with the label fitted to your own vehicle.

Covered version. Model year 2016: selected CJB fuses under the glovebox. Optional equipment only where fitted. The CEM, engine and luggage-compartment boxes are outside this table. The source gives ratings but does not specify fuse formats in this table.

Fuse box access

These assignments belong to the CJB beneath the glovebox. Volvo also lists a separate CEM box under the glovebox: the same number there can protect a different circuit. Follow the handbook access procedure and positively identify CJB before using this table.

Interactive circuit index

Hover, focus or tap a button to highlight its description. These buttons are a circuit index, not a drawing of the physical fuse positions. Only the circuits listed below are covered.

Selected fuse assignments

Optional circuits apply only when the equipment is fitted. Match both the rating and physical type. Entries marked “workshop replacement” require workshop service according to Volvo.

What to check first

CJB 22 (15 A) supplies the tunnel-console 12 V socket; CJB 7 (15 A) supplies the optional cargo socket. Heated steering wheel: CJB 4 (10 A). Do not use this CJB numbering to identify a fuse in the adjacent CEM box.

Replacing a fuse safely

Park the car, switch off the ignition and electrical consumers, and follow the matching handbook. Remove only an identified, accessible fuse. Fit the same physical type and specified current rating. Never bridge a fuse or increase its rating. If it fails again, stop and diagnose the underlying fault.

Frequently asked questions

Does this fit every model year?

No. Check the generation, handbook edition, steering position, engine and equipment. A familiar model name or an identical fuse number is not enough to confirm a match.

Where are the relays and omitted circuits?

Use the vehicle-specific workshop wiring information for relay positions, main protection and circuits omitted from this selection. An empty fuse position is not a confirmed accessory feed. Safety-system and high-voltage work requires the correct professional procedure.
